House of Renewal WA

Our Vision

Welcome to House of Renewal. If you’re reading this, maybe you’re looking for a fresh start, or maybe you’re searching for a safe place for someone you love. Whatever brought you here, we want you to know one thing right away: you are welcome, you are seen, and you are safe.

House of Renewal isn’t just a building with four walls and a roof. It’s a sanctuary. We built this place for women who are in the middle of rebuilding their lives, women who are stepping out of the shadows of the past and into a brand-new chapter.

Whether you are coming to us after experiencing homelessness, leaving a situation of incarceration, or escaping an unsafe living environment, our doors are open. We are especially here for the mothers, the brave women seeking a soft place to land for themselves and their children while they find their footing again.

Rooms for Renewal: A Safe Space for Your Journey

The Kenneth Room – The Garden

Named for Kenneth, Modo’s father, who loved gardening and introduced her to the beauty of flowers and nature.

This room represents growth and blooming. Just like seeds planted in a garden, healing often begins quietly beneath the surface before it becomes visible. Here, we hope you find the patience and care needed to nurture your own growth.

The Betty Room – The Grove

Named for Betty, Modo’s mother.

A grove is a peaceful place where trees grow together, creating protection and calm. This zen-inspired room filled with greenery represents grounding, peace, and steady healing. It invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and restore your strength.

The Mave Room – The Nest

Named for Mave, one of Modo’s grandsons.

This room represents a nest—a place of safety, nurture, and new beginnings. Butterflies throughout the room symbolize transformation and the courage it takes to start again. For mothers and women rebuilding their lives, this space honors the strength it takes to care for yourself and those you love.

The Simo Room – The Horizon

Named for Simo, another of Modo’s grandsons.

Inspired by the meeting of sky and ocean, this room includes symbols of birds, fish, and boats. Birds represent freedom, fish represent resilience in changing waters, and boats represent the courage to journey toward new shores.

Like the horizon itself, your future may not yet be fully visible—but it is waiting for you.

Even if your time here is brief, may this space remind you that peace, safety, and new beginnings ar
